Deputy Chairman

The EAG Deputy Chairman is approved by the Plenary Session to substitute the Chairman in his/her absence and to perform other duties assigned by the Chairman. The Deputy Chairman shall be approved for each presidency period on a rotating basis in the order of the Russian alphabetical order of the names of the Member States. The EAG Chairman and Deputy Chairman cannot be simultaneously representatives of the same EAG Member State.

By the decision of the 39th Plenary meeting Mr. Shamsiddin Sokhibnazarov (Republic of Uzbekistan) was approved as the Deputy Chairman for the period 2024-2025.

Mr. Shamsiddin Sokhibnazarov

Head of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Born on 05 January 1982, Fergana region, Uzbekistan.

In 2004 graduated from the Tashkent State Law Institute.
In 2012 graduated from the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Professional experience:

From 2004 to 2007 worked in various positions of the Department's Directorate of the Department for Fergana region.
From 2007 to 2010 worked in various positions of the Department's Directorate for Tashkent region.
From 2010 to 2016, worked as a senior inspector, chief inspector and head of the Internal Security Division of the Department.
From 2016 to 2017, worked as Head of the Personnel Division of the Department.
From 2017 to 2018, worked as Head of the Department's Office for Andijan region.
From 2018 to 2021 worked as Head of the Department's Directorate for Tashkent region.
From 2021 to 2023 worked as Head of the Department's Division for Tashkent city.
From 16 October 2023 to the present time he is the Head of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Senior Counsellor of Justice. He was awarded the Sodiq Khizmatlari Uchun medal and the Meҳr-saҳovat badge by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and was encouraged by the Procurator-General of the Republic of Uzbekistan with certificates of honour, departmental badges and commendations.
