The EAG Chairman is Mr Ajay Tyagi (India).

Mr. Ajay Tyagi is a career Civil Servant with thirty years of experience. 

He has done Electronic Engineering and Post-graduation in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur which is a world class institute for imparting education in engineering. 

Mr. Tyagi is Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA. 

He in his career has worked in various capacities in the areas of Energy, Environment, Finance and Information Technology. 

Mr. Tyagi is a senior Civil Servant of the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India and has represented India at various international fora, including at United Nations.
