The Executive Secretary is appointed by the Plenary. He is heading the Secretariat and supervising its activities.
Duties of the Executive Secretary:
- He ensures the organisation and conduct of the Working Groups and Plenary Meetings;
- He participates in Plenary and Working Group Meetings;
- He organises the execution and control over the implementation of the decisions of the Plenary Sessions;
- He interacts with representatives of Member States, states with observer status, other states and international organisations, including FATF, on issues within the competence of EAG;
- He manages financial and material resources of the Secretariat in accordance with the established procedure, concludes agreements and contracts, including labour contracts;
- He issues instructions and orders binding on all employees of the Secretariat;
- He is organising interaction with mass media on the issues of coverage of EAG activities.
By the decision of the 29th Plenary Meeting Sergey Teterukov (Russian Federation) was approved as the EAG Executive Secretary.
- From 2007 to 2011 he worked in the Federal Financial Monitoring Service.
- From 2011 to 2019 he worked in the FATF Secretariat.
- Since April 2019, by the decision of the 29th Plenary Meeting he was appointed Executive Secretary of EAG.
