    "Money laundering is a crime. Don't become part of it! Prevent it!"

    This was the message of the panel discussions "Financial security through the banking sector - how major financial institutions fight for the safety of their depositors' funds" organised by the Secretariat of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism within the International Financial Security Olympiad organised on the initiative and under the auspices of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring. 

    The EAG Secretariat, heads and employees of the compliance services of the member banks of the EAG International Compliance Council: Belgazprombank, Priorbank (Belarus), Alfa-Bank (Kazakhstan) and Citibank (Russia) took part in these panel discussions as speakers and experts. 

    During the discussions, the participants of the Olympiad discussed how the financial monitoring system of banks is set up, hat money laundering and terrorist financing schemes the young generation may be involved in, sometimes without realising it, and how to deal with it.

    For reference: According to the Instruction of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin. No.103 of 26 January 2021 Rosfinmonitoring together with the universities and scientific organizations-members of the International Network Institute on Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing (hereinafter referred to as AML/CFT) conducted the I-st International Financial Security Olympiad from 3 to 9 October 2021.
    The Olympiad was attended by high school students, as well as students of universities - partners of the AML/CFT International Network Institute from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
