    Representative of the EAG Secretariat has taken part in the 45th Plenary meeting of MONEYVAL in Strasbourg on September 15 – 19, 2014.

    During the meeting, the 4th round MONEYVAL Mutual Evaluation Report of Estonia was considered and adopted. The delegates have also discussed report submitted by Russian Federation under the 3rd round follow-up procedures. The delegates have also discussed reports submitted by Czech Republic, Georgia, Slovakia, San-Marino, Albania and Latvia under the 4th round follow-up procedures. The Plenary session discussed and adopted Cyprus report on actions taken in response to the MONEYVAL Special Assessment on the Effectiveness of Customer Due Diligence Measures in the Banking Sector.

    Reports of Lithuania and of Bosnia and Herzegovina of the Compliance Enhancing Procedures were also discussed and adopted. Actions taken by MONEYVAL States and territories under the Public statement on Bosnia and Herzegovina were also discussed. During this Plenary a discussions on the VTC programs of Hungary and Malta were held.

    Delegates were informed on the Rules of procedure of the MONEYVAL 5th round of mutual evaluations as well as about assessors training to be held from 3 to 7 November this year. Delegates considered Schedule of MONEYVAL 5th round of assessments.

    Queen of Netherlands Máxima addresses MONEYVAL on the need to make financial services accessible. During MONEYVAL Plenary meeting a seminar on the FATF effectiveness Methodology was held.
