Mission of EAG experts to the Republic of Tajikistan

In accordance with the procedures of the EAG a mission of EAG experts to the Republic of Tajikistan for "face to face" meetings with the representatives of the bodies of state power of the country for the purpose of the subsequent preparation of a draft of the next progress report on the national AML/CFT system passed on 29-30 March this year. The EAG delegation consisted of the representatives of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and Ukraine.

The main goal of the mission was to determine the extent of the progress of Tajikistan from the adoption of the Mutual Evaluation report (2008), in particular, on core and basic FATF Recommendations.

Meetings were also held with the representatives of the following ministries and agencies: the Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank and the Pension Fund, the Financial Monitoring Department, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Agency for Control over Drug Trafficking, the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption, the Ministry of Justice, the Customs Service, the National Security Committee.
