Journalist Contest
The Journalist contest in the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism Member States for the best story on the topic of financial security is held in order to:
- improve the interaction of the EAG Member States’ financial intelligence units with the media
- create a positive image of financial intelligence units, the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism and the FATF Global Network
- raise awareness on the topic of financial security
Journalists, i.e. nationals from the EAG Member States are eligible to join the Contest.
A journalist contest in the EAG Member States for the best story on the topic of financial security is getting launched
The Association of Press Services of Financial Intelligence Units of the Member States of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG) invites media representatives to participate in the Journalist Contest.
Competition entries on the topics of financial security, combating money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as the activities of the EAG, the FATF Global Network, and national financial intelligence units will be accepted from June 10 to August 15 in the following categories:
- video of television stories;
- publications in the print media and on the Internet;
- audio of radio stories.
Journalists who are citizens of the Member States of the Eurasian Group are invited to participate: Republic of Belarus, Republic of India, Republic of Kazakhstan, People's Republic of China, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Republic of Uzbekistan. Materials should be sent by email to the national financial intelligence unit.
Winners will receive diplomas and other commemorative prizes. The award ceremony will take place in November 2025 during the 43rd EAG Plenary session in the Republic of Belarus.
