About online consultations on the updated FATF Standards

In preparation for the third round of mutual evaluations of EAG Member States, the Secretariat continues to familiarize delegations with the requirements of the updated FATF Standards.

This work is carried out in the form of online consultations, at the request of the delegations, for representatives of government agencies involved in the national AML/CFT/CPF systems of EAG Member States.

In particular, an online consultation was held on February 3 for the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a similar event was held on February 6 with the support of ITMCFM for the state authorities of the Russian Federation.

During the events, EAG Secretariat staff provided an overview of the changes to the FATF Standards regarding PF risk assessment, asset recovery, prevention of NPOS misuse for TF purposes, and beneficial ownership transparency, which will be assessed in the upcoming EAG mutual evaluation round. In addition, the participants in the consultations were familiarized with the EAG Procedures for the third round of mutual evaluations.

In 2025, the Secretariat plans to hold consultations for delegations from other EAG Member States, including targeted clarifications for competent authorities responsible for the implementation of specific FATF Recommendations.
