Theft of funds revealed at one of the industrial enterprises of the Belarusian regional center

A regional unit of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in cooperation with law enforcement authorities, has uncovered the misappropriation of funds at an industrial enterprise located in a regional center.

During control and operational measures, it was established that the company’s CEO instructed subordinate employees in 2023–2025 to formalize fictitious (non-genuine) procurement transactions for components with affiliated commercial entities. This included the preparation of falsified tender documentation, supply contracts, and records of materials allegedly used in production. As a result, nearly 1,4 million belorussian rubles was unjustifiably transferred from the state-owned enterprise to the accounts of these entities.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the General Director and other individuals involved. The inspection of the state-owned enterprise is ongoing.
