The State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus discussed cooperation between control authorities of Belarus and China

Head of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Gerasimov and Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission of the Communist Party of China for Discipline Inspection Deputy Head of the State Control Committee of China Fu Kui met on September 22 this year. Representatives of the Chinese delegation visited the State Control Committee as part of their visit to Belarus these days. Issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

Belarusian representatives spoke about the main tasks and opportunities of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus. Including in the field of suppression of economic crimes and detection of suspicious financial transactions. These functions in the State Control Committee are entrusted to the Financial Investigation Department and the Financial Monitoring Department.

Fu Kui familiarized Belarusian colleagues with the work and achievements of the CPC Central Committee in the fight against corruption. Both control departments pay special attention to this area of work.

During the meeting, Vasily Gerasimov and Fu Kui agreed to strengthen cooperation between departments in the field of combating corruption, in particular on the exchange of experience and information. Issues of training, including at the level of specialists who identify specific violations, were also discussed.

An important area of work of the control authorities is connected with the promotion of the «One Belt One Way initiative», of which the Republic of Belarus is an active participant.

Following the meeting, Vasily Gerasimov proposed to develop a concrete plan of cooperation between the State Control Committee of Belarus and the State Control Committee of China and to include in it activities that were discussed during the meeting.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Control Committee of Belarus and the State Control Committee of China in 2018. Cooperation between the control bodies of Belarus and China is carried out in various areas. Also, the State Control Committee is an active participant in the activities of control authorities, which are held within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

At the end of the meeting, Chinese colleagues got acquainted with the history of state control of Belarus, visiting the museum exposition of the department.
