The EAG Secretariat participated FATF on-site mission to Kyrgrzstan 24 - 25 of April, 2014

On April 24 - 25, 2014 FATF conducted an on-site mission to the Kyrgyz Republic, in which the EAG Secretariat representative has participated.

Due to completion of the Action plan, adopted by the FATF Plenary in October 2011, and fulfillment of obligations taken by Kyrgyzstan, FATF Plenary in February this year decided to conduct an on-site visit to the country to confirm that the process of implementing the required reforms and actions is underway to address deficiencies previously identified by the FATF.

Mission held meetings with representatives of law enforcement, court and supervisory bodies of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the private sector.

FATF mission was welcomed by the vice prime-minister of the Kyrgyz government Mr. Mamataliev A., during the meeting vice prime-minister confirmed high level political commitment of the country to continue its efforts in strengthening combating money laundering and terrorism financing system in Kyrgyzstan.
