    The 16th EAG Plenary meeting and EAG Working Group meetings took place in Moscow, Russia on 22-25 of May, 2012.

    All the EAG member-states and the majority of the EAG observers (more than twenty countries and international organizations) participated in meetings.

    The EAG Plenary provided observer status for France, Mongolia and Egmont group.

    The EAG Chairman Action Plan for the period 2011-2012 was adopted by the Plenary.

    A new Working Group on Counteraction of Financing of Drug Business, Crime and Terrorism was established by the decision of the EAG Plenary meeting. The WG mandate and Action plan on the 2nd half of 2012 were adopted as well. Russia, Kyrgyz Republic and Belarus provided their co-chairs to this working group.

    The EAG prolonged the authority of Boris Toropov as an acting Executive secretary until the next 17th EAG Plenary.

    FATF and MENAFATF provided information update concerning their initiatives.

    The draft protocol between the EAG and RATC SCO on cooperation was approved in general. In the margins of the EAG Plenary, the EAG Private Sector Meeting and Europe/Eurasia Regional Review subgroup (EERRG) session took place.

    Kyrgyz Republic
    The EAG Plenary recommends Kyrgyz Republic to provide the next Follow-up report on the 17th EAG Plenary meeting and is going to discuss the possibility of putting Kyrgyzstan on the enhanced monitoring procedure. Moreover, the EAG Plenary expresses hope that the Kyrgyz Republic will succeed in adopting the draft laws and other legislation that are declared in short term.

    Tajikistan
    The EAG Plenary noted the progress made by Tajikistan on Rec. 1, 3, 13, 26, 40 and recommends Tajikistan to provide its next Follow-up report at the 17th EAG Plenary. The EAG noted that the Tajik authorities should strengthen its activity to address strategic deficiencies according to the FATF Action Plan in short terms.

    Turkmenistan
    The EAG Plenary welcomes the progress made by Turkmenistan in addressing strategic deficiencies. Since November 2011, Turkmenistan has made progress on Rec. 4, 23, 26, 36, 40 and SR. V. The EAG Plenary recommends Turkmenistan to provide its next Follow-up report on the 17th EAG Plenary.
