The 11th meeting of the Political Consultative Group of the Paris Pact

At the invitation of Paris Pact Initiative coordinator the representative of the EAG Secretariat took part in the 11th meeting of the Political Consultative Group of the Paris Pact. The event was held from 28 to 30 September, 2014 in Vienna (Austria).

In accordance with the agenda there were summarized all the activities of expert working group meetings of the Paris Pact on the following issues: "Strengthening bilateral and multilateral exchange of information and coordination process of Investigation", "Financial flows associated with the illicit production and trafficking of Afghan opiates", "Drug trafficking and precursors", also the meeting surveyed expert advice and opinions.

During the working group meeting the representatives of the Paris Pact expressed interest in providing EAG a partner status in the Initiative, and proposed to consider further possible areas of cooperation in the sphere of combating the financing of drug trafficking.
