Owners of 30 Belarusian Truck Service Stations and Heavy Vehicle Spare Parts Stores Underpaid More Than 1,2 Million Belarusian rubles in Taxes

The regional division of the Financial Investigation Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus has suppressed the illegal activities of a private company engaged in vehicle repair services and acting as a major importer of spare parts for heavy-duty vehicles.

The commercial entity operated a nationwide retail network consisting of 30 stores and service stations for heavy trucks. The scale of its revenue did not allow the application of the simplified taxation system. However, the company’s owners found a way to circumvent this restriction. In order to unlawfully minimize tax liabilities, they arranged for the registration of two additional companies in the capital city, both applying the simplified taxation regime. Revenue generated from the sale of spare parts and vehicle repair services was artificially distributed between the main company and the newly created entities.

As a result of the improper use of the special tax regime since 2022, the company underpaid more than 1,2 million belarusian rubles to the state budget.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against two business owners.

The damage caused to the state has been fully compensated by the suspects. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
