On the EAG Chairman Yury Chikchanchin speech at the special joint meeting of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee

On 20 November 2012 the Chairman of the Eurasian group on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism (EAG) made speech at the special joint meeting of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee, international and regional organizations, dedicated to the issues of countering and lap of the finanancing of terrorism channels.

Main attention was paid to the strenghtening of the stats potential, international and regional cooperation in the field of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).

The EAG role as the FATF-style regional body and the FATF associated member in the improvement of the interaction as well as member states integration into the global AML/CFT system was specially highlighted in the speech.
