Following the results of the FATF procedure on quality and consistency analysis, the follow-up report of the Russian Federation was published on the EAG and FATF websites. The document was approved by the EAG Plenary Meeting in December 2023.
The report reflects the results achieved by Russia in the period from October 2019 (from the date of approval of the mutual evaluation report) to July 2023, presents an analysis of the main changes in the legislative framework and the national system on a number of FATF recommendations.
The assessment was conducted by experts from China, India, and Uzbekistan.
As a result of the assessment, Russia's rating on three FATF recommendations (R.6, 7 and 25) was upgraded to "Largely Compliant", and on one updated recommendation (R.15) it was downgraded to "Partially Compliant".
For information purposes, the follow-up report also includes information on the progress of the Russian Federation in implementing the measures recommended by the assessors under other FATF Recommendations and on Immediate outcomes.
