The Joint International Forum for Supervisory Authorities and the Private Sector, devoted to the topic of 'A Reasonable Balance and Trust-Based Dialogue', will be hosted by St. Petersburg (Russian Federation) on 22–24 April 2026.
The objective of the Forum is to promote initiatives that improve the quality of public–private partnerships and international cooperation among competent authorities, financial institutions, and non-financial businesses engaged with AML systems.
The Forum has been organised by the EAG, MENAFATF, ESAAMLG, GABAC and GIABA, with the support of Rosfinmonitoring and the International Training and Methodological Centre for Financial Monitoring.
Mr. Yury Chikhanchin, Chairman of the EAG, and the executive secretaries of the FSRBs will take part in the Forum's opening plenary session, titled 'Uniting Efforts, Strengthening Capabilities'.
The Forum panelists and participants will discuss the following topics:
- Preparation for mutual evaluations and experience with the new round of FATF mutual evaluations;
- The evolution of supervisory tools, and balancing the regulatory burden with the business activities of the private sector;
- Digital banks, artificial intelligence, and new technologies in compliance systems; and
- The role of international cooperation in ensuring the system's successful operation.
