Inter-session EAG meeting dedicated to the 5th anniversary will be held on October 6-7 in Moscow (Russia)

    The meeting will be presided over by the EAG Chairman and Aide to the President of Russia Oleg Markov. Among the participants of the Plenary will be heads of the financial intelligence units of the EAG member states including Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

    The agenda of the meeting includes:

    1. Address of the EAG Chairman Oleg Markov who will comment on the EAG activities results since its foundation and key achievements of its member states in creating and developing national AML/CFT regimes; 
    2. Speeches of the heads of the EAG member-state financial intelligence units and other competent authorities on the progress of their countries in combating money laundering and terrorist financing; 
    3. Statement of the Russian Federation on the results of the 30th MONEYVAL Plenary meeting where the Russian delegation presented Russia’s progress report; 
    4. Address of the EAG Deputy Chairman and Director of the Financial Monitoring Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus Valery Yaroshevsky on the EAG participation in the drug trafficking preventive operation “Channel” and cooperation with the Collective Security Treaty Organization; 
    5. New EAG tasks and challenges in the framework of the global financial crisis, including recommendations to the private sector.

    After the Inter-session meeting, there will be a press briefing with the EAG Executive Secretary Igor Nebyvaev.
