The Regional Directorate of the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus uncovered corruption-related offenses in the construction sector.

In particular, systematic instances were established in which representatives of a commercial company paid bribes to the director of a state-owned construction organization in exchange for granting access to construction sites for the performance of works, as well as for ensuring the unhindered conclusion of contracts, their execution, and timely payment.

From December 2025 to February 2026, the head of the regional Belarusian enterprise received bribes totaling 15 thousand of Belarusian rubles from the commercial entity. After receiving another installment in the amount of 10 thousand of Belarusian rubles, the bribe recipient was caught red-handed and detained.

Additional facts of bribery were also established. In January-February 2025, he received another bribe of 9 thousand of Belarusian rubles from the same businessman. Initially, the funds were transferred to the bank account of an individual entrepreneur who acted as an accomplice in facilitating the transfer of the bribe. The entrepreneur subsequently withdrew the cash and handed it over to the director.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the enterprise director and the accomplice. They have admitted guilt and are cooperating with the investigation.
