Government of Russian Federation approved new draft treaty of CIS states on combatting money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation of mass destruction weapons

    The Government of Russia approved new draft treaty of CIS states on combatting money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation of mass destruction weapons and submitted to the President of Russian Federation a proposal to sign this agreement.

    The draft document was prepared by Federal Financial Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitiring), preliminarily worked out with other states of the Сommonwealth and was agreed by Russian MFA and other interested authorities.

    This document is to replace acting agreement of the year 2007 on combatting money laundering and terrorist financing.

    The purpose of the document is to coordinate CIS states activity and to join efforts on combatting money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation of mass destruction weapons.
