Fraudulent payroll scheme identified

The Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus has stopped illegal activities related to tax evasion and payment of salaries «in envelopes». The facts were revealed when checking company engaged in international road transport.

It was established that the founder of the company, together with the organization's officials, over the past few years, under the guise of reimbursement of travel expenses (daily subsistence allowance), organized the payment of salaries "in envelopes." The "gray" salary in this way received 160 drivers.

The amount of damage caused to the state indicates the scale of payments - from these payments, the company management did not pay income tax on individuals in the amount of more than 1,4 million Belarusian rubles.

A criminal case has been instituted against the founder of the company on the facts of evasion of the duties of the tax agent for the transfer of taxes.
