FIU experts from Russia and Belarus discussed the results of Egmont Group Plenary through videoconference

    The videoconference meeting was held with participation of the Head of Rosfinmonitoring Mr. Yury Chikhanchin and Director of the Financial Monitoring Department of the State Control Committee of Belarus, the EAG Deputy Chairman Mr. Valery Yaroshevsky.

    Russian representatives who participated in the Egmont Group Plenary meeting shared information on the outcome of the event their colleagues from Belarus by means of videoconferencing (VCF). 

    The Egmont Group Plenary meeting took place in Cartagena (Colombia) on June 28 – July 1, 2010. Deputy head of International Cooperation Department of Rosfinmonitoring Mr. Igor Alekseev talked on the main results of the Plenary. 

    Belarusian experts also received information on main directions of the Egmont Working Groups’ activities, and strategic priorities of Egmont further development including perspectives of enhancement of its cooperation with FATF and FSRBs. 

    It also been announced that Egmont Tactical Analysis Course will be held in one of the EAG member states in autumn 2011 by World Bank. 

    Sharing experience between AML/CFT specialists from two different countries by means of videoconference shows significance of this project in framework of the EAG Single Information Space. Due to its high communicative potential specialists from Belarusian FIU who didn’t participate in the Egmont Group Plenary were promptly informed about main results of the event.
