FATF Virtual Asset Contact Group Meeting, November 7-9, 2022 Paris, France

On November 7-9 this year, a regular meeting of the FATF Virtual Assets Contact Group was held, where, among others, the progress of countries in implementing the requirements of FATF Recommendation 15 had been discussed and a roadmap of measures aimed at accelerating the implementation was proposed. In addition, new risks and threats posed by the illicit use of virtual assets and ways of committing illegal acts were discussed. The decision was made to continue joint work to combat illicit financial operations with virtual assets and to ensure smooth implementation of the FATF Standards in this area.
