FATF Virtual Asset Contact Group Meeting

The regular meeting of the FATF Virtual Assets Contact Group was held on December 11-12 this year in the city of Ottawa (Canada). In the course of the event, the progress of the FATF Global Network member countries in implementing the Recommendation 15 and the "roadmap" aimed at accelerating the speed of implementation of its requirements was discussed. The EAG Secretariat briefed the participants on the dynamics of implementation in the EAG Member States. The meeting also considered the possibilities of the Contact Group members to provide technical assistance to individual countries of the Global Network for the earliest implementation of Recommendation 15. The decision was made to continue joint work to combat illicit financial transactions with virtual assets and implementing the FATF Standards.
