EAG was adjoined to the number of participants of the Conference of the Parties to the Warsaw Convention

Eurasian Group on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism was adjoined to the number of participants of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention Laundering, Search, Seize and Confiscation of the Proceeds from Crime and on the Financing of Terrorism.

The proposal was submitted by the Russian delegation headed by Stats-secretary - Deputy Head of Rosfinmonitoring Nikolay Varlamov at the Conference which took place in Strasbourg on April 22-23, 2009.
 
The EAG adjunction to the Conference will allow to strengthen the EAG position on the international arena as well as to enlarge its contribution into the joint international fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
