On 9 May 2025, the EAG Secretariat employees laid flowers at the monument to the Panfilov Heroes, who on 6 November 1941 fought an unequal battle with Nazi tanks near Dubosekovo railway crossing. The soldiers of the 4th company of the 2nd battalion of the 1075 rifle regiment of the 316th rifle division of General Ivan Panfilov delayed the enemy's advance for several hours. The company almost in full staff perished, having shown true heroism and courage.
For this battle 28 soldiers were awarded the title of Heroes of the Soviet Union in 1942.
The monument at Dubosekovo railway crossing immortalised the feat of the soldiers who defended the approaches to Moscow in the autumn of 1941. The figures of 6 soldiers stand on the hill. They look resolutely in front of them: ‘Not a step back. Russia is great, and there is nowhere to retreat - Moscow is behind us!’.
