Further prospects for joint work in the field of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) were discussed on May 28 at the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission by Yuri Chikhanchin, chairman of the EAG and Ruslan Beketayev, member of the Board (Minister) for Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The parties considered key points of interaction in conditions of deepening integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union, including formation of a common financial market, liberalization of currency legal relations, development of cross-border lending and, as a consequence, probability of new risks of money laundering and terrorism financing.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify cooperation between EAG and EEC in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between EAG and EEC of February 12, 2021, including joint work of specialists of our organizations on projects of mutual interest.
