Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units will be Established in the CIS Framework

Heads of CIS countries made the decision on creation of Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units. The relevant document was signed on December 5, 2012, at the meeting of CIS top leaders in Ashgabad - the capital of Turkmenistan.

In addition, at the meeting were signed agreements on cooperation in training anti-terrorist units at educational institutions of the CIS competent authorities, on cooperation in the field of the CIS integrated currency market and other documents.

The mandate of the CIS Executive Committee Chairman Sergei Lebedev was prolonged for next three years.

Following the results of the meeting in Ashgabad, a final declaration of the CIS Heads of State was adopted on further development of comprehensive cooperation, in which they expressed intention to wage war against terrorism and drug-trafficking, to develop relations in various areas and to promote friendship and cooperation.
