Belarusian Household Chemicals and Cosmetics Manufacturer Held Liable for Overpricing Products

The Regional Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus has identified and suppressed violations of legislation during an inspection of one of the manufacturers of household chemicals and perfume and cosmetics products.

Among the violations detected were the sale of manufactured detergents and cleaning agents at prices not supported by economic calculations, as well as systematic increases in the selling prices of manufactured goods without the mandatory approval of the regional executive committee.

As a result of the inspection, the enterprise was fined 400 thousand belarusian rubles.

Administrative liability for the sale of state-regulated goods without economic calculations substantiating the level of selling prices, or in violation of the established procedure for price registration, provides for a fine of up to 10% of the value of the goods sold (Part 3 of Article 13.2 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offences).
