A face-to-face meeting was held in the framework of the mutual evaluation of Uzbekistan

    The meeting with participation of the EAG experts and representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office, Ministry of Justice, National Bank and other government supervisory agencies of Uzbekistan took place on April 20-23 in Moscow.

    The team of assessors included experts from The Federal Financial Monitoring Service of Russia, Bank of Russia, National Bank of Tajikistan, the FIUs of the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan. A representative of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus Olga Mayarovich took part in the meeting by means of videoconferencing.

    In the framework of the face-to-face meeting the assessors were able to clarify and coordinate a number of unsettled issues on the results of the mutual evaluation mission of Uzbekistan which took place on November 8-14, 2009.

    According to the EAG Executive secretary Mr. Igor Nebyvaev, who opened the face-to-face meeting, the event turned out productive and highly effective from the perspective of data exchange and receiving additional information on the legislative regulation of the national AML/CFT regime of Uzbekistan.
